Family roast dinners are an integral part of Easter Weekend, but with the lockdown in full force, the logistics of planning this meal may be impossible for many.
Decanter Winery and Dinery, a new local restaurant and wine bar in Bruntsfield, is delivering Easter Roasts this weekend. Lamb Roast with all the trimmings will feature alongside its usual takeaway menu.

‘It’s been a bit of a scramble’, says Jonathan, Decanter’s owner. ‘My dad and I have always loved Easter, and not to have lamb on Easter seems like such a waste. My father is a chef (formerly of Pasquale’s in Bruntsfield), so we wanted to deliver our family roast to our local community. It’s been a difficult period for us, as for many others, but hope that a nice meal at home can bring a bit of relief to many people. We have been able to implement contact-free deliveries as well’.
