So, the residents of our fair city can still enjoy gourmet food during lockdown, l’escargot bleu has been offering their popular take-away menu since last summer.
AND one lucky Hidden Edinburgh reader is in with a chance to sample the exquisite cuisine for themselves with our latest competition.
The winner will enjoy a selection of dishes for two from this week’s menu:
The Prize
To Nibble:
Baguette from Company Bakery
Saucisse sèche des Pyrénées
Starters:
Soupe de poisson for two: freshly made fish soup with rouille, grated cheese and croutons.
Main:
L’escargot casserole for two:
Le poulet aux Riesling aux crevettes: chicken roulade with crevettes in a Riesling sauce, with heritage potatoes.
Sides:
Vegetables with garlic butter
Potato and root vegetable gratin
Desserts:
Chocolate tarte with crème anglaise
Apple and rhubarb crumble with crème anglaise
The winner will be announced on Friday 5th at 10am and the prize will be available for collection on Friday between 2-4pm from the restaurant – or for delivery if the winner lives within the 2 miles delivery boundaries.
