The Lantern Room Bar & Restaurant located in The Courtyard Marriott has recently re-launched their afternoon tea and it’s ideal for Mother’s Day! The bright and contemporary space is relaxed and combines heritage and style with locally inspired furnishings and menu featuring local produce. Their new afternoon tea experience is truly magical and offers three options, so something for every taste. ‘The Birdcage’ is a unique twist on the traditional afternoon tea featuring delicious finger sandwiches, sweet treats, and freshly made Madeleine’s. ‘The Bookcase’ is a contemporary take on Afternoon tea and more suited to those with savoury tastes. It features mini gastro-pub favourites like the ham hock bon-bons and the mini steak and ale pie! The Lantern Room are also offering their take on the cream tea with their ‘Basket Tea’ option – perfect for a quick bite to eat and a catch up!

Sunday lunch with all the trimmings at Twenty Princes Street
Give mum a break this Mother’s Day by treating her to Sunday lunch at Twenty Princes Street. On Sunday 11th March, the restaurant are offering an incredible Sunday roast specially for the mum’s out there! There is a promise of all the trimmings included with their delicious Tweed Valley-reared beef roast dinner, which included a glass of wine, beer or soft drink per person! With views over Princes Street and art deco-chic surroundings, this is a truly sophisticated way to treat the one you love! The Mother’s Day Sunday Lunch will be served all day until the run out, and costs £17.95 per person!
A boozy lunch with cocktails at Rabble
Glamorous girls will love a boozy lunch at Rabble! The bartenders at Rabble are highly trained and offer a great selection of girly cocktails, perfect for a day of celebration! Their brunch selection is great but we would definitely suggest trying some dishes from their grill! All the meat and fish from the menu is slow-cooked over white oak charcoal on their open fire pit, creating delicious smokey dishes. The open-plan restaurant and bar is lively and bright with contemporary design details and touches of glamour! After having a wander around the National Gallery, stop in at The Scottish Café for a traditional Sunday Roast – a great way to top off a casual Sunday with mum! The Scottish Café focuses on locally sources, sustainable food and offers a menu that showcases the best artisan food from all around Scotland. For Mothering Sunday they are offering a special Sunday Roast to mark the occasion! Featuring their unique take on the Yorkshire Pudding – the ‘Scottie’, crispy potatoes and roasted season vegetables, this one is perfect for getting all the family involved!
