New Grave Robbery Themed ‘Escape Room’
The Anatomist is an immersive ‘Escape Room’ that resurrects a dark and intriguing period of Edinburgh’s medical history. The first project by local company Escape The Past, The Anatomist invites you to enter a world of grave robbery, mystery and malpractice as you descend into the basement study of a 19th Century anatomist.
Participants will be challenged to solve a series of puzzles within an hour as a thrilling mystery unfolds. This interactive experience will not only appeal to escape room lovers, but also those interested in Edinburgh’s history.
Its location on the edge of the city’s old surgical district adds a very real element to the experience. Rather than relying on cliches and gimmicks, The Anatomist creates a sense of time and place through authentic sights, smells and immersive storytelling, inspiring players to learn more about Edinburgh’s history.
